It aims at bridging the gap between Indian knowledge traditions and their timeless contemporary relevance.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Sh. B. R. Shankaranand, Sangathan Mantri, Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal; Jitendra Bhardwaj, Shetriya Sampark Adhikari, BSM; Prof. A. Ravinder Nath, Vice Chancellor, Central University of Kashmir; Prof. Geeta Singh, University of Delhi; Prof. Naseer Iqbal, Registrar, University of Kashmir; Shaffat Hukkani, Convener, Vishwagram Kashmir Chapter, and other prominent citizens were also present.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday released two books published by Gulshan Books Kashmir (GBK) at Lok Bhavan, Srinagar.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The releases include \u201cHistory of Kashmiri Language and Poetry\u201d, authored by Abdul Ahad Azad and translated by Umar Shah, alongside \u201cThe Stranger Besides Me\u201d, by Prof. Neerja Mattoo.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Lieutenant Governor congratulated the authors, publication house and everyone associated with the publications.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The books are part of Gulshan Books Kashmir\u2019s wider publishing programme aimed at bringing works on Kashmir\u2019s literary and cultural traditions to readers.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Sheikh Ajaz, Chairman, Gulshan Books; Sheikh Meelad and Sheikh Maied, Managing Directors, Gulshan Books were also present.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, the Lieutenant Governor and the staff &amp; officers of Lok Bhavan on Thursday accorded a warm farewell to outgoing Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the Lieutenant Governor, Lt Col Prashant Jankar.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Lieutenant Governor felicitated Lt Col Jankar and expressed his appreciation for dedication and professional integrity of the officer.
