Srinagar, Sep 18: A resolution seeking the regularisation of daily\u2011wage workers has been listed among seven Private Members\u2019 Resolutions drawn for consideration in the Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly on September 25, the day reserved for Private Members\u2019 business.<\/p>\n
The Assembly Secretariat, as per the news agency\u2014Kashmir News Observer (KNO), on Friday conducted balloting to select the seven resolutions for the upcoming autumn session. Among them is a resolution submitted by BJP MLA Pawan Kumar Gupta, urging the Government to frame and notify, within a fixed timeframe, a comprehensive and uniform policy for the regularisation of Daily Rated, Casual, NYC, Mid\u2011Day Meal and similarly placed workers across departments and agencies.<\/p>\n
Other resolutions include BJP MLA Yudhvir Sethi\u2019s call for a time\u2011bound Master Plan for parking facilities in Jammu East, and NC MLA Salman Sagar\u2019s proposal to denotify Phaak and Rural Block Harwan from the Srinagar Master Plan to ease restrictions on residents.<\/p>\n
In his resolution, NC MLA Qaysar Jamshaid Lone has pressed for expediting construction of the Lolab\u2011Bandipora Tunnel, while Congress MLA Irfan Hafiz Lone has sought allotment of five marlas of State land to homeless families.<\/p>\n
Also selected is NC MLA Mir Saifullah\u2019s resolution urging formulation of a jobs policy with measurable annual targets and transparent recruitment, and MLA Bandipora Nizam\u2011Ud\u2011Din Bhat\u2019s proposal to declare 2027\u201128 as the \u201cyear for retrieval of water resources\u201d to restore wetlands, and water bodies across the Union Territory.
