These rules have been submitted for approval and are likely to be finalized any time. We are awaiting approval from the competent authority.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sharma said: \u201cThe moment we have the rules in place, I expect investment not only from the country but across international boundaries, and people will come and have private universities in Jammu and Kashmir.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On making education more job oriented, Sharma said the government was moving rapidly towards skill-based education. &#8220;It&#8217;s the need of the hour. We are moving very fast in that direction and it is the need of the time,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The HED Secretary said: \u201cAs on date, we have 1,54000 students who are attending different skill courses across J&amp;K, and most of the university and college courses do have skill courses in their curriculum.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He said the integration of skill components into higher education courses was part of the broader effort to align education with employment opportunities and the changing requirements of the job market.
