{"id":31913,"date":"2026-10-06T00:56:58","date_gmt":"2026-10-06T00:56:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kashmirthunder.in\/?p=31913"},"modified":"2026-10-06T00:56:58","modified_gmt":"2026-10-06T00:56:58","slug":"jk-upper-reaches-likely-to-witness-snowfall-rain-till-oct-10-met","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kashmirthunder.in\/index.php\/2026\/10\/06\/jk-upper-reaches-likely-to-witness-snowfall-rain-till-oct-10-met\/","title":{"rendered":"J&#038;K upper reaches likely to witness snowfall, rain till Oct 10: MeT"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Temps remain above normal; Srinagar records 30.8\u00b0C, Jammu 33\u00b0C<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Srinagar, Oct 05: Jammu and Kashmir is likely to witness light snowfall and rain over higher reaches from October 6 to 10, the Meteorological Centre said on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>According to the forecast accessed by the news agency\u2014Kashmir News Observer (KNO) J&amp;K would witness thunderstorms, gusty winds and scattered rainfall in the next few days.<\/p>\n<p>The MeT advised people to ensure safe storage of apples and paddy in view of the expected weather conditions between October 6 and 10. \u201cFrom October 11 to 15 weather will remain partly cloudy,\u201d the MeT said.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, temperatures remained above normal at several places in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Srinagar recorded a maximum temperature of 30.8 degrees Celsius, which was 5.3 degrees above normal, while the minimum temperature settled at 12.3 degrees Celsius, 3.3 degrees above normal.<\/p>\n<p>Qazigund recorded a maximum of 31 degrees Celsius, 6.9 degrees above normal, and a minimum of 10.2 degrees Celsius.<\/p>\n<p>Pahalgam recorded a maximum of 26.6 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 7.4 degrees Celsius, while Gulmarg recorded 23 degrees Celsius and 9 degrees Celsius, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>In Jammu, the maximum temperature was 33 degrees Celsius, 0.6 degrees above normal, while the minimum settled at 23 degrees Celsius, 2.1 degrees above normal.<\/p>\n<p>No rainfall was recorded at the stations listed by the weather department during the reporting period.
