{"id":32797,"date":"2026-10-16T19:02:19","date_gmt":"2026-10-16T19:02:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kashmirthunder.in\/?p=32797"},"modified":"2026-10-16T19:02:19","modified_gmt":"2026-10-16T19:02:19","slug":"ladakh-gets-one-more-district","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kashmirthunder.in\/index.php\/2026\/10\/16\/ladakh-gets-one-more-district\/","title":{"rendered":"Ladakh gets one more district"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Leh, Oct 16: The Union Territory administration of Ladakh on Friday notified the creation of Sankoo as a new district, with its headquarters at Sankoo.<\/p>\n<p>According to a notification issued by the Revenue Department, a copy of which lies with the news agency\u2014Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the new district namely Sankoo has been created.<\/p>\n<p>The notification states that the newly created Sankoo district will comprise four tehsils\u2014Sankoo, GM Pore, TSG and Taisuru\u2014along with their respective revenue villages.<\/p>\n<p>It further states that the jurisdiction of Kargil district has been modified by excluding the tehsils and revenue villages now included in Sankoo district.
