{"id":33078,"date":"2026-10-21T18:23:41","date_gmt":"2026-10-21T18:23:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kashmirthunder.in\/?p=33078"},"modified":"2026-10-21T18:23:41","modified_gmt":"2026-10-21T18:23:41","slug":"dc-kulgam-chairs-meeting-on-winter-preparedness","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kashmirthunder.in\/index.php\/2026\/10\/21\/dc-kulgam-chairs-meeting-on-winter-preparedness\/","title":{"rendered":"DC Kulgam chairs meeting on winter preparedness"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><em>Reviews departmental readiness<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">KULGAM, OCTOBER 21: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Shahzad Alam, Wednesday chaired a preparatory meeting regarding winter preparedness at the Mini-Secretariat Kulgam to review the arrangements being put in place by various departments ahead of the upcoming winter season.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the meeting, the DC reviewed the preparedness of different departments and stressed the need for coordinated efforts to ensure uninterrupted essential services and timely response to any eventuality during the winter months.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He emphasized the need for adequate arrangements for snow clearance, road connectivity, power and water supply, healthcare facilities, availability of essential commodities and other public services. The concerned departments were directed to ensure adequate manpower, machinery and essential supplies to meet any exigency during the winter season.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The DC directed the constitution of tehsil-level committees to monitor snow clearance operations and certify, from time to time, the extent of areas cleared of snow to ensure effective monitoring and timely restoration of road connectivity.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He also directed the concerned departments to give special focus to far-flung and snow-bound areas for immediate rescue and rehabilitation mesites especially for expectant mothers, ailing person&#8217;s and others requiring timely medical care, ensuring their safe stay and access to healthcare facilities during adverse weather conditions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The DC stressed inter-departmental coordination among the frontline departments and directed all officers to remain prepared to address public grievances and ensure minimum inconvenience to the people during the winter months.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The meeting was attended by the ADDC, Altaf Ahmad Khan; ADC, Vikar Ahmad Giri; ACR Kulgam, Reyaz Ahmad Shah; CPO Kulgam, Malik Suhail; SDM Noorabad, Bashir Ul Hassan; ACD Kulgam, Bilal Ahmad Kamgar; other officers from various line departments, Executive Engineers and other concerned district and sectoral officers and officials.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Reviews departmental readiness KULGAM, OCTOBER 21: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Shahzad Alam, Wednesday chaired a preparatory meeting regarding winter preparedness at the Mini-Secretariat Kulgam to review the arrangements being put in place by various departments ahead of the upcoming winter season.
