{"id":3325,"date":"2025-11-07T18:14:32","date_gmt":"2025-11-07T18:14:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kashmirthunder.in\/?p=3325"},"modified":"2025-11-07T18:14:32","modified_gmt":"2025-11-07T18:14:32","slug":"maharashtra-activists-hold-anti-drug-rally-in-sgr","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kashmirthunder.in\/index.php\/2025\/11\/07\/maharashtra-activists-hold-anti-drug-rally-in-sgr\/","title":{"rendered":"Maharashtra activists hold anti-drug rally in Sgr"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Srinagar, Nov 07:\u00a0<\/strong>A group of activists from Maharashtra on Friday organised a rally and Nukkad Natak (street play) at Srinagar\u2019s famous Lal Chowk to spread the message against drug abuse.<\/p>\n<p>The campaign, organised in collaboration with a local trust, aimed to highlight the growing menace of narco-terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir and its impact on youth.<\/p>\n<p>Holding placards and chanting slogans, the participants called for the slapping of the Public Safety Act (PSA) against those involved in drug trafficking networks.<\/p>\n<p>One of the organisers, said, \u201cDrug trafficking is not just a social issue, but it is linked to national security. We came here to stand with the people of Kashmir and raise a collective voice against this growing threat.<\/p>\n<p>Local volunteers and social workers also joined the rally, terming the move a \u201cmessage of unity and shared responsibility\u201d between states to combat the drug crisis. The Nukkad Natak portrayed the serious effects of addiction on families and society, drawing applause from onlookers at Clock Tower (Ghanta Ghar).<\/p>\n<p>A local present on the occasion told KNO, such plays help spread awareness among the youth and should be conducted regularly in schools and colleges across the Valley. \u201cThis collaboration proves that the fight against drugs goes beyond regional boundaries.
