{"id":33665,"date":"2026-10-29T17:09:27","date_gmt":"2026-10-29T17:09:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kashmirthunder.in\/?p=33665"},"modified":"2026-10-29T17:09:27","modified_gmt":"2026-10-29T17:09:27","slug":"12-year-old-qasim-mir-leads-the-way-at-pedal-through-paradise","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kashmirthunder.in\/index.php\/2026\/10\/29\/12-year-old-qasim-mir-leads-the-way-at-pedal-through-paradise\/","title":{"rendered":"12-year-old Qasim Mir leads the way at &#8216;Pedal Through Paradise&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Srinagar, Oct 29:\u00a0<\/strong>While much of Srinagar was still asleep, 12-year-old Mohammad Qasim Mir was already awake at 4 am, eager to head to Dal Lake for the cycling event &#8216;Pedal Through Paradise&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>Among the thousands who participated in the event, Qasim, a resident of Bagh-e-Mehtab, stood out as an example of how a passion for fitness and sports can take root at a young age.<\/p>\n<p>His father, Mir Murtaza said that Qasim was determined not to miss the event.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We have all been awake since 4 am because my son would not let us sleep. He was so excited,&#8221; Murtaza said.<\/p>\n<p>Organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Police, the cycling event brought together participants from different age groups to promote physical fitness, cycling and healthy lifestyles.<\/p>\n<p>Murtaza said it was Qasim&#8217;s first experience of participating in such an event and that he has a keen interest in cycling and other sporting activities.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;He loves racing and taking part in these activities.
