{"id":3892,"date":"2025-11-14T16:31:53","date_gmt":"2025-11-14T16:31:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kashmirthunder.in\/?p=3892"},"modified":"2025-11-14T16:31:53","modified_gmt":"2025-11-14T16:31:53","slug":"3-day-special-training-concludes-at-des","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kashmirthunder.in\/index.php\/2025\/11\/14\/3-day-special-training-concludes-at-des\/","title":{"rendered":"3-day special training concludes at\u00a0DES"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>JAMMU, NOVEMBER 14:<\/strong>\u00a0The Directorate of Economics &amp; Statistics (DES), Jammu &amp; Kashmir in collaboration with\u00a0the Enterprise Survey Division (EnSD) of the Ministry of Statistics &amp; Programme\u00a0Implementation (MoSPI) Kolkata and the Regional Directorate of Evaluation &amp; Statistics,\u00a0Jammu, successfully conducted a three-day Special Training Programme on Annual\u00a0Survey of Industries (ASI) \u2013 Data Handling from 12th to 14th November, 2025 here at\u00a0Directorate of Economics and Statistics .<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The primary objective of the training was to enhance the technical capability of officers\u00a0and staff of the Planning, Development &amp; Monitoring Department in effectively\u00a0managing ASI data to ensure accuracy, consistency and analytical rigor in statistical\u00a0outputs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The programme also sought to enhance participants&#8217; understanding of the critical\u00a0role that ASI data plays in evidence-based decision-making and policy formulation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The resource persons for the event were Director, Dr. A.K. Panigrahi; \u00a0Deputy Director, Ankita Mondal and Senior Statistical\u00a0 Officer, Rajarshri Bhowmick- all from the Enterprise Survey Division (EnSD), IS Wing, MoSPI, Kolkata.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They presented live demonstrations on ASI data handling using detailed presentations and\u00a0ASI Schedules, offering participants practical, hands-on exposure to the process.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0Earlier, the programme was inaugurated by Director General, Economics &amp; Statistics, J&amp;K, Satvir Kour Sudan, who underscored the pivotal role of ASI data in estimating the\u00a0contribution of the industrial sector to the State Gross Domestic Product (SGDP).\u00a0 She emphasized that robust and reliable ASI data forms the backbone of evidence-based\u00a0policy making and plays a vital role in steering sustainable economic development across\u00a0the region.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Regional Director (E&amp;S) Jammu, Ashu Gupta encouraged the participants to make the sessions interactive and engaging.
