{"id":4415,"date":"2025-11-19T18:59:13","date_gmt":"2025-11-19T18:59:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kashmirthunder.in\/?p=4415"},"modified":"2025-11-19T18:59:13","modified_gmt":"2025-11-19T18:59:13","slug":"pvt-schools-face-jkbose-action-for-textbook-norm-violation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kashmirthunder.in\/index.php\/2025\/11\/19\/pvt-schools-face-jkbose-action-for-textbook-norm-violation\/","title":{"rendered":"Pvt schools face JKBOSE action for textbook norm violation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Affiliation of four schools cancelled, eight penalized<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Srinagar, Nov 19: The Jammu Kashmir Board of School Education (BOSE) Wednesday said that is cancelling the affiliation of four private schools and has fined several private schools for violating prescribed textbook norms.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing a press conference here at Srinagar board headquarters, Joint Secretary BOSE Shahnaz Choudhary as per news agency\u2014Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said, \u201cWe have our teams and sub-offices in every district who are dealing and taking care of these matters.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey have inspected the schools and whosoever private school was found violating the government norms by prescribing the private publication of books were fined,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Choudhary added that \u201cWe have cancelled the affiliation of four schools that were violating the prescribed norms.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBesides, the inspection team of JKBOSE have fined at least eight schools for violating textbook guidelines of the board,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>The JKBOSE Joint Secretary also said that the private schools affiliated with JKBOSE have to abide by the norms of the board under the SRO-123.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe books JKBOSE have a nominal charges while the books recommended by the private schools through a private publishers are very costly,\u201d she said.
