{"id":4644,"date":"2025-11-21T18:28:53","date_gmt":"2025-11-21T18:28:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kashmirthunder.in\/?p=4644"},"modified":"2025-11-21T19:50:57","modified_gmt":"2025-11-21T19:50:57","slug":"security-forces-bust-hideout-along-loc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kashmirthunder.in\/index.php\/2025\/11\/21\/security-forces-bust-hideout-along-loc\/","title":{"rendered":"Security forces bust hideout along LoC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Recover M4 rifles, live rounds <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Kupwara, Nov 21:\u00a0<\/strong>Security forces foiled a potential terror plot on Friday after a cache of arms and ammunition including two M4 assault rifles was recovered from a hideout near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir\u2019s Kupwara district, officials said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBased on specific intelligence, a joint operation was launched by Handwara Police and the Naugam brigade of the Indian Army in the Neeriyan Forest area along the LoC,\u201d a police officer said.<\/p>\n<p>During the operation, the team busted a major hideout, leading to the seizure of two M-series rifles with four magazines, two Chinese pistols with three magazines, two hand grenades and several live rounds.<\/p>\n<p>An FIR under number 39\/2025 has been registered at Police Station Qalamabad, and further investigations are underway.<\/p>\n<p>A senior police officer said the operation was aimed at preventing potential terror activities in the region and ensuring the safety of the public.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the security forces remain committed to maintaining peace and fostering a terror-free and drug-free environment in the area.<\/p>\n<p>A day before the joint operation in Neeriyan Forest, security forces in Handwara had busted a narco-terror module and arrested a father\u2013son duo in the Qalamabad area.<\/p>\n<p>The father\u2013son duo, as per police, was running an active narco-terror network in the area.
