KUPWARA, NOVEMBER 27: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Shrikant Suse, Thursday flagged off a Girls Trekking Camp to Nowgam, Handwara from the DC Office Kupwara.<\/p>\n
The flag-off ceremony, as per an official statement was attended by ACR Kupwara, Peerzada Mumtaz Ahmad, ASP Kupwara, Javaid Ahmad, along with officials from the District Youth Services & Sports Office.<\/p>\n
The trekking camp has been organised by the Youth Service & Sports department Kupwara with the objective of encouraging young girls to explore adventure sports, build confidence, and develop a healthy connection with nature. The participants will trek through the picturesque landscapes of Nowgam, Bangus, known for its serene environment and rich biodiversity.<\/p>\n
Speaking on the occasion, DC Kupwara highlighted the importance of such outdoor camps in shaping the personality of young participants, stating that adventure activities play a key role in promoting discipline, teamwork, and resilience among youth. He also appreciated the efforts of the Youth Services & Sports Department for consistently organizing meaningful and youth-centric programs.<\/p>\n
