November has been dry, so far, and we are now pinning hopes on good snowfall in December,\u201d the CM said while speaking to media persons on the sidelines of the launch of the Kashmir Chapter of SKAL International, a global travel and tourism network.<\/p>\n<p>Omar said tourists continue to visit Pahalgam and other destinations across the Valley, but a fresh spell of snow would enhance the winter season\u2019s prospects. \u201cSnowfall is key to boost Kashmir\u2019s tourism this season, and we are hopeful that Christmas and New Year will bring better times for the industry,\u201d he said, as per the news agency\u2014Kashmir News Observer (KNO).<\/p>\n<p>As far as tourism is concerned, wherever there are business-to-business engagements, the industry stands to gain, the Chief Minister said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHowever, promotion and marketing remain the biggest contributors to growth,\u201d he said, adding that 2025 has been a challenging year for the tourism sector.<\/p>\n<p>It is important to mention that SK\u00c5L International is a professional organisation for travel and tourism professionals that fosters friendship, business and networking worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>Founded in 1934, it is the only global body that unites all sectors of the tourism industry, from managers to executives. Members meet at local, national, and international levels through clubs in about 75 countries to conduct business and build relationships.
