{"id":6192,"date":"2025-12-06T21:46:56","date_gmt":"2025-12-06T21:46:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kashmirthunder.in\/?p=6192"},"modified":"2025-12-06T21:46:56","modified_gmt":"2025-12-06T21:46:56","slug":"tral-aripal-set-for-official-tourism-transformation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kashmirthunder.in\/index.php\/2025\/12\/06\/tral-aripal-set-for-official-tourism-transformation\/","title":{"rendered":"Tral, Aripal set for official tourism transformation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em>Tourism Dept takes over facilities<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Srinagar, Dec 06:\u00a0<\/strong>A team of officials from the Tourism Department Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Development Corporation (JKTDC), and Jammu &amp; Kashmir Cable Car Corporation on Saturday formally took over the charge of tourist facilities at Shikargah Tral and Naristan Aripal, to \u2018strengthen\u2019 tourism infrastructure in south Kashmir\u2019s Pulwama district.<\/p>\n<p>The process was carried out under the supervision of Deputy Director Tourism Kashmir, Sheikh Enayat (JKAS), who oversaw the official handing-over of assets and facilities to the Tourism Department.<\/p>\n<p>Officials said that the move is part of the government\u2019s renewed push to expand tourism activities in unexplored and scenic destinations of Kashmir, particularly in offbeat areas like Shikargah and Naristan, which have recently gained attention for their natural beauty and adventure potential.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe aim to strengthen facilities in these serene pockets of Pulwama so that they emerge as promising tourist hubs,\u201d a tourism official said, adding that streamlining administrative control will help ensure better maintenance, promotion, and service delivery.<\/p>\n<p>Local residents and stakeholders expressed hope that the takeover will finally pave the way for systematic development, increased footfall, and new livelihood opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShikargah and Naristan have always had huge potential, but the lack of facilities kept tourists away.
