A lot of improvement has been made in the discom in comparison to the previous year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>About the smart meters installation, Shah said, \u201cWe installed 3 lakh smart metres last year and this year, we have added over 1.25 lakh smart meters across rural and urban areas of the Kashmir region. The process continues.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The MD said the goal is to achieve 100% coverage. \u201cDespite disruptions caused by floods and the war-like situation, we are working to install more smart meters,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Shah further informed that KPDCL installed insulated cables across the valley this year. \u201cThe Low Capacity Power (LCP) system is running, but sometimes we face fault issues due to rain.
