PULWAMA, OCTOBER 07: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pulwama, Dr. Basharat
\nQayoom, Tuesday chaired a meeting here at administrative complex
\nPulwama to review and discuss the formulation of a GIS-based Master
\nPlan for Awantipora Town.
\nThe meeting aimed to take forward the vision of planned and
\nsustainable urban development in the town through advanced and modern
\ntools & technology and coordinated inter-departmental inputs.
\nDuring the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the proposed
\nvillages to be included within the Master Plan, municipal boundaries
\nof Awantipora, and the revenue villages associated with Tehsil
\nAwantipora.
\nThe DC directed all departments to provide updated records, maps, and
\ndata sets to facilitate the preparation of a comprehensive GIS-based
\nplan in coordination with the Town Planning Organisation and SPA
\nexperts. He stressed that the Master Plan should incorporate local
\nrequirements, natural features, and heritage aspects while maintaining
\nenvironmental sustainability.
\nThe meeting was attended by the Chief Town Planner Kashmir;
\nAdditional Deputy Commissioner Pulwama; Tehsildars of Awantipora,
\nPampore and Kakapora; Executive Officer Municipal Committee
\nAwantipora\/Pampore; Block Development Officer Pampore\/Awantipora;
\nwhile representative from the School of Planning and Architecture
