SHOPIAN, OCTOBER 7: In a significant step towards ensuring responsive
\ngovernance, the district administration Shopian organized a Grievance
\nRedressal Camp at Zainapora Tuesday.
\nThe camp, chaired by District Development Commissioner (DDC) Shopian,
\nShishir Gupta, witnessed enthusiastic participation from local
\nresidents, senior citizens, youth, and village representatives.
\nDuring the interactive session, locals raised various issues,
\nincluding infrastructure development, healthcare, education,
\nirrigation, power supply, and welfare schemes.
\nDDC listened attentively to the grievances and issued on-the-spot
\ndirections to concerned officers for timely redressal.
\nEmphasizing the administration’s commitment to efficient public
\nservice delivery and transparency, the DDC stated that such camps
\nwould be conducted across all blocks and tehsils to bridge the gap
\nbetween the administration and the public.
\nHe reviewed the progress of government schemes like PMAY, MGNREGA, Jal
\nJeevan Mission, and Mission Yuva, directing officers to ensure
\nsaturation of social security schemes and follow up on pending cases.
\nThe DDC urged the public to actively participate in developmental
\nprocesses and maintain coordination with line departments for
\neffective scheme implementation. He assured that genuine grievances
\nwould be addressed in a time-bound manner with regular follow-ups.
\nLocals expressed gratitude to the District Administration for
\nproviding a direct platform for their voices to be heard.
\nThe camp underscored the administration’s commitment to public-centric
\ngovernance and its resolve to address the concerns of the people in a
\ntimely and effective manner.
\nSenior officers, including Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Zakir
\nHussain; Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Bilal Ahmed; Tehsildar, and BDO
