Srinagar Airport registered minus 1.2\u00b0C, higher than Thursday\u2019s minus 3.4\u00b0C.<\/p>\n<p>Pulwama recorded minus 3.4\u00b0C, up from minus 3.8\u00b0C. Sonamarg, which was the coldest on Thursday at minus 7.3\u00b0C, rose to minus 4.7\u00b0C.<\/p>\n<p>In the Jammu region, Jammu city recorded a temperature of 10.0\u00b0C, up from 8.1\u00b0C, and Jammu Airport 10.2\u00b0C, compared to 7.3\u00b0C on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Banihal was at 3.8\u00b0C against 4.8\u00b0C, Batote 6.1\u00b0C against 4.7\u00b0C, and Bhaderwah improved to 2.6\u00b0C from minus 0.3\u00b0C. Ramban recorded 0.1\u00b0C, down from 4.2\u00b0C.<\/p>\n<p>In Ladakh, Leh recorded minus 9.8\u00b0C, slightly higher than minus 10.2\u00b0C on Thursday. Kargil was minus 9.3\u00b0C, up from minus 9.8\u00b0C, while Nubra Valley recorded minus 6.7\u00b0C, warmer than minus 8.3\u00b0C the previous night.<\/p>\n<p>Weather experts said sub-zero nights are likely to continue in higher reaches despite the marginal rise in temperatures.<\/p>\n<p>A spell of light snow is expected in the higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir, accompanied by light rain at scattered to many places across the region on December 31 and January1, after that weather is likely to improve gradually.
