{"id":8247,"date":"2025-12-29T19:34:14","date_gmt":"2025-12-29T19:34:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kashmirthunder.in\/?p=8247"},"modified":"2025-12-29T19:34:14","modified_gmt":"2025-12-29T19:34:14","slug":"india-rejects-pakistans-remarks-on-minorities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kashmirthunder.in\/index.php\/2025\/12\/29\/india-rejects-pakistans-remarks-on-minorities\/","title":{"rendered":"India rejects Pakistan\u2019s remarks on minorities\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>\u2018Abysmal record speaks for itself\u2019 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Srinagar, Dec 29: Reacting sharply to Pakistan\u2019s remarks on minorities, India on Monday rejected the claims, saying its (Pakistan\u2019s) horrific and systemic victimisation of minorities of various faiths is a well-established fact.<\/p>\n<p>According to a statement, issued to news agency\u2014Kashmir News Observer (KNO), in response to media queries regarding remarks by Pakistan Foreign Ministry spokesperson, India\u2019s External Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said; \u201cwe reject the reported remarks from a country whose abysmal record on this front speaks for itself\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>He said that Pakistan&#8217;s horrific and systemic victimisation of minorities of various faiths is a well-established fact. \u201cNo amount of finger pointing will obfuscate it,\u201d Jaiswal said.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, Pakistan Foreign Ministry spokesperson had termed the \u201cpersecution of minorities in India\u201d as a matter of deep concern.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRecent condemnable incidents of vandalism during Christmas, as well as state-sponsored campaigns targeting Muslims &#8211; including the demolition of their homes and repeated lynchings &#8211; have deepened fear and alienation among Muslims,\u201d it said.<\/p>\n<p>It said the international community should take note of these developments and take appropriate steps to help protect the fundamental rights of vulnerable communities in India.
