BUDGAM,\u00a0DECEMBER 30:- A day long women entrepreneurship mela was Tuesday organised by District Employment and Counselling Centre (DE&CC) Budgam\u00a0 in coordination with NRLM Budgam at Govt degree College Magam.<\/p>\n
Principal GDC Magam, Dr Tasleema graced the occasion as chief guest.The programme received a good response from the participation of hundreds of Self Help Group Members of NRLM Budgam.<\/p>\n
At the outset, Assistant Director Employment, DE&CC Budgam, Shabnam Arif Mir, along with the Chief Guest, visited various stalls set up by SHGs and different line departments. The SHGs showcased a wide range of products reflecting their entrepreneurial skills, while stalls of line departments provided information on livelihood and self-employment schemes.<\/p>\n
\u00a0To encourage entrepreneurship and motivate participants towards self-employment, success stories of Model SHGs were presented during the mela, highlighting inspiring journeys of women entrepreneurs from the district.<\/p>\n
On the occasion, representatives from line departments including Animal Husbandry,\u00a0 Handicraft and Handloom, Horticulture,\u00a0 and Agriculture\u00a0 briefed participants about various self-employment schemes and support mechanisms available to aspiring entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n
