Senior Army officers were present at the launch function.<\/p>\n
Speaking to media at the launch, the Deputy Commissioner, as per an official statement, underscored the critical need for such a platform, terming it a vital source of information, awareness and entertainment for the local population. He highlighted that the community radio station would act as an important support system for the district administration, especially during natural disasters and other challenging situations.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis community radio station will ensure timely and effective communication\u2014from villages to the district administration and vice versa\u2014thereby bridging communication gaps and enhancing overall preparedness,\u201d the Deputy Commissioner said.<\/p>\n
The DC congratulated to the Indian Army for taking the lead in this innovative initiative, which is expected to strengthen community resilience, social cohesion and connectivity in remote and border areas.<\/p>\n
The establishment of Radio Sangam marks a significant step towards empowering remote communities through accessible media.
