Her family had filed a missing report at Police Station Kreeri the same day after she failed to return home.<\/p>\n<p>The locals informed police after noticing the body, following which a team rushed to the spot and took the body into possession, official said.<\/p>\n<p>The body was later shifted to a nearby hospital for medico-legal formalities. A post-mortem examination was carried out to ascertain the cause of death, officials added.<\/p>\n<p>Police said an investigation had been initiated to determine the circumstances surrounding the woman\u2019s death. The incident triggered shock in the area, with locals calling for a thorough probe into the case.
