{"id":901,"date":"2025-10-09T20:23:48","date_gmt":"2025-10-09T20:23:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kashmirthunder.in\/?p=901"},"modified":"2025-10-09T20:23:48","modified_gmt":"2025-10-09T20:23:48","slug":"big-promises-no-delivery-imran-ansari","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kashmirthunder.in\/index.php\/2025\/10\/09\/big-promises-no-delivery-imran-ansari\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2018Big promises, no delivery\u2019: Imran Ansari"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>KNO<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Srinagar, Oct 09:<\/strong>\u00a0Ahead of the Supreme Court\u2019s hearing regarding the restoration of Jammu &amp; Kashmir\u2019s statehood, senior Peoples Conference leader Imran Reza Ansari on Thursday slammed Chief Minister Abdullah over his \u2018failure\u2019 to deliver on the promise of a signature campaign made during his Independence Day speech.<\/p>\n<p>In a social media post, Ansari recalled the Chief Minister\u2019s Independence Day speech, where he had pledged to collect lakhs of signatures within eight weeks in support of restoring statehood and submit them to the Supreme Court before the October 10 hearing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBig talk, big promises-typical JKNC style,\u201d Ansari said in a Facebook post.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNow here we are, on the eve of October 10. The case is on the Supreme Court\u2019s list for tomorrow. But where\u2019s that famous signature campaign that was supposed to shake Delhi? Did the lakhs of signatures get lost somewhere between Gupkar and Twitter?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ansari questioned whether the Chief Minister, who is currently in Delhi, had gone to submit the collected signatures or merely to gather more photos for his social media accounts.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo naturally, one wonders\u2014has he gone to submit those \u2018lakhs of signatures\u2019 his government collected, or just to collect a few more photos for his next social media post?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He further added, \u201cPromises were made to the people, press releases were issued to the media, but in the end, it seems only the signatures of silence made it to Delhi.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear the petitions seeking restoration of statehood on October 10<strong>\u2014(KNO)<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KNO Srinagar, Oct 09:\u00a0Ahead of the Supreme Court\u2019s hearing regarding the restoration of Jammu &amp; Kashmir\u2019s statehood, senior Peoples Conference leader Imran Reza Ansari on Thursday slammed Chief Minister Abdullah over his \u2018failure\u2019 to deliver on the promise of a signature campaign made during his Independence Day speech.
