JAMMU, APRIL 13: Deputy Chief Minister, Surinder Choudhary, Monday extended warm greetings to the people on the auspicious occasions of Baisakhi and Ambedkar Jayanti.
The Deputy Chief Minister, as per an official statement, said that both the occasions hold immense significance for the people of Jammu and Kashmir, who celebrate these festivals with great fervour and enthusiasm. He highlighted that Baisakhi marks the harvest season and symbolizes prosperity, joy and gratitude among the farming communities across the region.
He said that April 14 marks the birth anniversary of B. R. Ambedkar, the principal architect of the Indian Constitution, whose life and ideals continue to inspire the generations towards equality, justice and social empowerment.
The Deputy Chief Minister emphasized that the celebrations of both Baisakhi and Ambedkar Jayanti reflect the rich cultural diversity and inclusive spirit of Jammu and Kashmir. He added that the region has always been a shining example of brotherhood, harmony and peaceful coexistence.
He expressed hope that these occasions would further strengthen the bonds of unity and inspire the people to work collectively for progress and prosperity of J&K.
