BHADERWAH, MAY 26: The Social Welfare Department, in collaboration with the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM), Tuesday organised an awareness programme at Bhaderwah to educate women about various social welfare schemes, particularly those aimed at the welfare, upliftment and empowerment of women.

The programme, as per an official statement, was conducted under the supervision of the Tehsil Social Welfare Officer Bhaderwah, with the objective of spreading awareness among women regarding different government-sponsored welfare initiatives and ensuring wider outreach of beneficiary-oriented schemes at the grassroots level.

A large number of women, participated enthusiastically in the programme and raised queries regarding various schemes being implemented by the government for women, children, senior citizens, widows and other vulnerable sections of society. Detailed information was provided to the participants regarding eligibility criteria, benefits available under different schemes and the necessary documentation required for availing the benefits.

During the interactive session, participants were encouraged to take maximum advantage of the welfare schemes and to disseminate awareness among other eligible beneficiaries in their respective areas. Officials stressed the importance of timely registration and proper documentation to ensure smooth access to government assistance.

The programme aimed to strengthen awareness among women about the various welfare initiatives of the government and to ensure that deserving beneficiaries are able to avail the benefits in a timely, transparent and effective manner.
