KULGAM, JUNE 12: A comprehensive review meeting of the Revenue Department was held Friday under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Shahzad Alam to assess the progress of various revenue-related initiatives and ensure timely delivery of public services.

During the meeting, a detailed review was conducted regarding the digitization of revenue records across the district.

Emphasis was laid on clearing the backlog of mutations and expediting the process of attestation and updation of revenue records.

The progress achieved in the sub-parcellization of cadastral maps was also reviewed, with directions issued for accelerating the work to ensure accurate land record management.

The Deputy Commissioner, as per an official statement, reviewed the status of live uploading of Jamabandies on the JK Zameen Sudhar Portal and stressed the need for maintaining accuracy and timeliness in data entry.

The disposal of grievances received through the JK Zameen Sudhar Portal was also examined, and officers were directed to ensure prompt redressal of public complaints.

The meeting further reviewed the generation and distribution of Property Cards under the SVAMITVA Scheme. Concerned officers were instructed to complete the remaining work within the stipulated timelines so that citizens can fully benefit from the scheme.

Progress regarding the disposal of applications received through the JanSugam and Revenue Plus portals under the Public Services Guarantee Act (PSGA) was also discussed.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized timely disposal of applications and directed officers to adhere strictly to prescribed service delivery timelines. In addition, the status of other public grievances pertaining to the Revenue Department was also reviewed.

He instructed all revenue officers to maintain close monitoring of pending cases and ensure efficient, transparent, and citizen-centric service delivery.

The meeting was attended by senior officers of the Revenue Department, including district and tehsil-level functionaries.
