ANANTNAG, JUNE 12: Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Anantnag, Vikas Ahlawat, Friday chaired a meeting at DC Office to review the progress of Aadhar saturation and the operationalization of Aadhar centres across the district.

The meeting, as per an official statement, was attended by the District Programme Officer (Poshan), Chief Medical Officer, Chief Education Officer, District Informatics Officer (NIC), Lead District Manager, and representatives of Aadhar agencies associated with ICDS and Education Departments.

During the meeting, a detailed review of the current status of Aadhaar enrolment and updation was undertaken. The ADDC emphasized the need to ensure complete Aadhaar coverage and the smooth functioning of all Aadhaar Centres to facilitate timely and hassle-free services to the public.

Ahlawat directed all concerned departments to update the email to Gov mail and ensure mandatory biometric updation in an expedient manner. Education department was asked to update the mismatch between school records and Aadhar Cards while Health and Education Departments were instructed to immediately make the non-functional kits operational. Further, directives were issued to LDM to make all inactive Aadhar centres functional within next 15 days.

The ADDC asked the departments to compile the list of registrations made since January 01, 2026 besides saturating the left out population and updating Aadhar Cards wherever required.

On the occasion, measures to improve enrolment and update services, particularly for eligible beneficiaries and residents, were discussed in detail.
