Access to quality judicial infrastructure an essential component of effective justice delivery: Justice Sanjeev Kumar

Inaugurates New Court Complex in Bhaderwah

BHADERWAH, JUNE 17: A significant milestone towards strengthening judicial infrastructure in the Doda district was achieved Wednesday with the inauguration of the newly constructed Court Complex at Bhaderwah by Justice Sanjeev Kumar Shukla, Acting Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by the presence of Justice Sindhu Sharma and Justice Rahul Bharti, Administrative Judge for District Doda, along with Judicial Officers, members of the Bar, civil administration officers and prominent citizens of the region.

The programme, as per an official statement, commenced with the ceremonial inauguration of the Court Complex by the Justice Sanjeev Kumar, followed by an inspection of the newly established judicial infrastructure and facilities created for the litigants, advocates, judicial officers, and court staff.

In his presidential address, Justice Sanjeev Kumar Shukla, Acting Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, described the inauguration of the new Court Complex as a landmark development for the people of Bhaderwah and the entire district. He emphasized that access to quality judicial infrastructure is an essential component of effective justice delivery and reaffirmed the High Court’s commitment to strengthening the judicial system through continuous infrastructural and technological advancements.

Justice Sanjeev Kumar appreciated the collective efforts of all agencies and stakeholders involved in successful completion of the project and expressed confidence that the new Court Complex would serve as a beacon of justice for the region.

Balbir Lal Jaswal, Principal District and Sessions Judge, Doda, in his address, highlighted the importance of modern judicial infrastructure in ensuring efficient and accessible justice delivery. He expressed gratitude to the High Court for its continued support in strengthening the judicial system in the district.

Addressing the gathering, Justice Sindhu Sharma underscored the pivotal role of robust judicial infrastructure in enhancing the quality and accessibility of justice. She emphasized the need for a litigant-friendly environment and appreciated the efforts made in establishing the new Court Complex, which would significantly benefit the legal fraternity and the public at large.

Rahul Bharti, Administrative Judge for District Doda, in his special address, congratulated all the stakeholders on the completion of the project. He highlighted the importance of modern court facilities in improving judicial efficiency and public confidence in the justice delivery system. He reiterated the commitment of the High Court towards ensuring better infrastructure and administrative support for courts across the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.

The vote of thanks was presented by Archana Charak, Additional District and Sessions Judge, Doda, who expressed sincere gratitude to the Acting Chief Justice, Judges of the High Court, judicial officers, members of the Bar, civil administration, and all others whose efforts contributed to the successful conduct of the event.

The proceedings of the programme were efficiently conducted by Tabraiz Ahmed, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Doda, who ensured the smooth and successful management of the entire event.

The inauguration of the new Court Complex marks a significant step towards enhancing judicial services and providing a modern, accessible, and efficient environment for the administration of justice in Bhaderwah and adjoining areas.
