357 cases approved for financial assistance

UDHAMPUR, JULY 20: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Minga Sherpa Monday chaired a meeting of the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) under the Mission YUVA scheme.

The meeting, as per an official statement, was convened to evaluate and scrutinise applications received under various categories of Mission YUVA, including Nano Enterprises, MSMEs and other eligible sectors, with the objective of identifying and recommending deserving candidates for financial assistance.

After detailed scrutiny and deliberations, the committee approved 357 cases for financial assistance under the Mission YUVA Scheme, paving the way for aspiring entrepreneurs to establish new enterprises and expand their existing business ventures.

The DC directed departments concerned to expedite the registration and processing of applications, encourage more youth to avail themselves of the scheme’s benefits and ensure minimum rejection of applications through proper guidance, facilitation and handholding support, further instructing them to minimise the auto-forwarding of cases, improve the quality of scrutiny and enhance the timely disbursement of financial assistance to eligible beneficiaries.

The DC called for stronger coordination among line departments, financial institutions and stakeholder agencies to accelerate the pace of the Mission YUVA initiative and promote sustainable entrepreneurship and self-employment opportunities for the district’s youth.

Among those present were Additional District Development Commissioner Jugal Kishore Anand, Assistant Director (Employment) Priyanka Gupta, representatives from the banking sector and other officers concerned.
