2-day training for census 2027 phase-II commences in Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, AUGUST 11: A two-day training programme for District & Charge Level Officers/Officials engaged for Census 2027 Phase-II- the Population Enumeration in snowbound and inaccessible areas, commenced here Tuesday.

The training, as per an official statement, is being conducted under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (Principal Census Officer) Minga Sherpa.

The resource persons from the Directorate of Census Operations J&K, Nimrat Kour – Assistant Director Nodal Officer and District Coordinator Ajit Raj sensitized the District level officers/ officials, Sub Divisional Census Officers, Charge Census Officers, Census Clerks and Technical Assistants to their role and responsibilities.

The officials are being equipped to effectively implement the key concepts of Population Enumeration and use of digital platforms like CMMS PE Modules for the smooth conduct of Census 2027 Phase-II Population enumeration.

Addressing the participants, the Principal Census Officer emphasized the importance of completing the second phase of Census 2027 in snowbound areas within the stipulated time frame. He directed the charge census officers to ensure 100% coverage of the migratory and homeless population, strictly as per the census guidelines. He further directed Charge Officers to keep the provision of reserved Enumerators and Supervisors to meet the need for additional manpower wherever required.
