Director Agriculture Kashmir reviews expenditure status of Srinagar, Ganderbal districts

SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 05: Director Agriculture Kashmir, Sartaj Ahmad Shah Saturday chaired a comprehensive meeting to review implementation status of different schemes, in Srinagar and Ganderbal districts, with respect to achievement of physical and financial targets allocated for the current financial year.

The meeting, as per an official statement, was attended by Chief Agriculture Officer Srinagar, Chief Agriculture Officer Ganderbal, Deputy Director Planning, Drawing and Disbursing Officers and other senior officers of the department.

During the meeting, the Director undertook a detailed review of the physical and financial progress of various schemes, implementation of approved programmes, expenditure position and progress of ongoing developmental activities in both districts. He also assessed the field-level implementation of various farmer-oriented initiatives and took feedback from the concerned officers regarding the challenges being faced in execution.

Sartaj Ahmad Shah stressed the need for ensuring timely and effective implementation of all departmental programmes, with particular focus on achieving the prescribed targets within the stipulated timelines. He directed the officers to maintain close field-level coordination, accelerate the pace of implementation and ensure optimum utilisation of available resources.

The Director further emphasised that the benefits of various government schemes and initiatives should reach the farming community in a transparent, efficient and time-bound manner. He called upon the officers to remain proactive in addressing field-level issues and strengthen their outreach to farmers.

The Director laid special emphasis on Aatmanirbharta in Pulses and instructed the concerned officers to achieve all the targets earmarked for the year for implementation of the scheme.

The meeting concluded with directions to the concerned officers to closely monitor the progress of ongoing activities and ensure timely compliance with the decisions taken during the review.
