DDMA reviews disaster mitigation measures in Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, SEPTEMBER 11: District Disaster Management Authority meeting was held here Friday to review disaster mitigation measures in the district. Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Minga Sherpa, who is also the chairman of the DDMA, chaired the meeting attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Prem Singh, Chief Planning Officer Uttam Singh and functionaries from the stakeholder departments.

The DC, as per an official statement, conducted a detailed department-wise review of temporary and permanent restoration works, including road-related projects. He stressed the need for close coordination among all line departments to strengthen disaster mitigation measures.

The DC also sought updates on the division-wise assessment of damages to roads and the status of permanent restoration projects. He directed all executing agencies to expedite restoration works and ensure their timely completion to restore connectivity and minimise inconvenience to the general public.
