Srinagar, Nov 08: Leader of Opposition and senior BJP leader Sunil Kumar Sharma on Saturday said that the National Conference (NC) will face a humiliating defeat in the upcoming Budgam by-election.

Addressing an impressive public rally in the Budgam segment, Sharma predicted a crushing defeat for the NC, asserting that the BJP will emerge victorious at the hustings.

“On November 14, the people will write a new chapter in Budgam’s political history. NC will face a crushing defeat, and BJP will emerge victorious because people have seen the difference between hollow promises and real development,” Sharma said while canvassing for the party candidate Aga Syed Mohsin.

Sharma said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir have rejected decades of deceit and dynastic politics of the NC, and are now rallying behind Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a developed and prosperous Jammu & Kashmir.

Launching a scathing attack on the opposition, Sharma thundered: “Those who can stop BJP in Kashmir are yet to be born. The people of Kashmir have made up their minds -the era of fear and falsehood is over. Now, the lotus will bloom in every village and town of the Valley.”

He lavished praise on Aga Mohsin, calling him a dynamic leader with strong grassroots connect and unwavering commitment to public service.

“The people of Budgam deserve a young and energetic voice like him in the Assembly who can carry forward the message of change and inclusive growth,” he added.

Sharma ended his speech by saying that the days of corruption, nepotism, and emotional exploitation are over.

“Now is the time for empowerment, accountability, and progress under the BJP’s banner,” he declared amid cheers and slogans in support of the party—(KNO)
