Srinagar, Oct 07: The 69th National School Games-2025 witnessed an exciting 2nd day of football matches across various venues in Srinagar on Tuesday.

The football fixtures delivered a mix of high-scoring victories and closely fought contests.

At the TRC Synthetic Turf, Manipur secured a decisive 4-1 victory over Gujarat, with goals contributed by David, L. Seitam, Puni, and Borish. In a stunning display of offensive power at the Polo Ground, Madhya Pradesh registered an emphatic 10-0 win against Andhra Pradesh.

Other matches saw competitive spirit across the city. IBSSO emerged victorious against Telangana with a 2-1 scoreline at the Green Valley Football Field, while Punjab secured a 2-0 win in their match held at the Kashmir University Field.

The day was also marked by two intensely competitive matches that ended in draws. The encounter between Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra at the Polo Ground concluded with a 1-1 scoreline, with both teams being awarded one point each. In an electrifying fixture, the teams from Jammu & Kashmir and Haryana battled to a tie, with each team also earning a point.

Concluding the day’s action at the TRC Synthetic Turf, CISCE delivered a powerful performance, defeating Puducherry 7-1. The win was spearheaded by a remarkable offensive duo, with Sayan and Jeevanth each scoring a hat-trick of three goals.

The organization of the sports extravaganza by the Directorate of Youth Services and Sports has been commendable, ensuring a smooth and spirited start to this prestigious national sporting event. The matches will continue over the coming days—(KNO)
