Leh, Oct 25: A new chapter in the history of Ladakh Police was written on Saturday as 453 men and women recruits successfully completed their training and participated in the grand passing out parade held at the world’s highest police training centre in Ladakh.

Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Kavinder Gupta, who presided over the ceremony, congratulated the new constables and praised the efforts of the administration and Ladakh Police in shaping a disciplined and service-oriented force.

“It is a matter of pride and honour for the Ladakh administration and Ladakh Police as 453 men and women pass out today. This will strengthen Ladakh’s force, and they are well prepared to serve in various administrative roles,” the LG said.

He commended the significant participation of women in the batch, calling it a reflection of changing times where women are taking the lead in every sector. “The personnel trained here in this terrain are equipped to serve anywhere in the world,” he added.

The recruits underwent 10 months and 11 days of rigorous training, focusing on law enforcement, public interaction and national service.

Officials said the training has fully equipped them to work hand-in-hand with the administration and contribute effectively to maintaining peace and order across the Union Territory.

The passing out parade marks a milestone for Ladakh Police, symbolizing strength, unity, and the growing commitment of local youth—especially women—to public service and nation-building—(KNO)
