Over 94,000 students appear in 10th class exams

BOSE issues revised date sheet amid J&K by-elections

Srinagar, Nov 03: Over 94,000 students appeared in the annual regular exams of 10th standard that commenced on Monday in Kashmir division.

According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (BOSE) had set-up 994 examination centres across the Kashmir region.

BOSE has said that 68,804 students enrolled for the annual regular exams of 10th are from ten districts of Kashmir division and 25,224 students are from eight districts of winter zone areas of Jammu division.

Besides, the board had also informed that at least 660 from Kargil and 95 from Leh district were also enrolled for the examinations.

Earlier, BOSE Secretary had said that nearly 95,000 students are enrolled to appear for 10th class exams and the board has made 994 exam centres for them, 760 centres for 82,000 students of 11th standard and 682 centres for 70,000 students of 12th class respectively.

In the meantime, BOSE Monday issued a revised date sheet for annual regular exams of 10th standard in view of Assembly by-elections.

Joint Secretary Exams of Kashmir division said, “It is notified for information of all the stakeholders in general and the students of Class 10th in particular that the date-sheet for Secondary School Examination (Class 10th) annual, regular, 2025 has been revised in view of assembly by-elections.”

The board however clarified that the timing and centres notified earlier for the examination shall remain unchanged. (KNO)
