SHOPIAN, NOVEMBER 04: Sankalp Hub for Empowerment of Women (SHEW), Mission Shakti Shopian Tuesday organized an awareness programme at Anganwadi Centre Hanjipora, Shopian, focusing on various Women Welfare Schemes and Helpline Services aimed at uplifting and empowering women in the district.

The programme was aimed to create awareness among women about the government initiatives designed to enhance their socio-economic status, promote self-reliance, and ensure their safety and well-being.

Participants were educated about different welfare schemes, financial support programmes, and skill development opportunities available for women.

SHEW officials also shared vital information about important helpline numbers including Women Helpline 181, Sakhi One Stop Centre, and other grievance redressal platforms, ensuring that women are aware of the support systems in place to assist them in times of need.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from local women who engaged in interactive discussions about challenges, opportunities, and ways to achieve self-dependence. Officials emphasized that empowerment begins with awareness, and every woman should know her rights and the facilities provided by the government for
