Flags pending demand on exam age relaxation

Jammu, Nov 04: Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma Thursday met the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Lok Bhawan, Jammu wherein he raised the long-pending demand of age relaxation for combined competitive examination aspirants across Jammu & Kashmir.

Sharma conveyed that a large number of aspirants and delegations have been approaching him for several weeks, seeking intervention on the issue of upper-age relaxation in various recruitment processes.

He informed the LG that many aspirants have also mailed their concerns, highlighting the difficulties they face due to age restrictions and repeated delays in recruitment cycles.

During the meeting, Sunil Sharma presented the collective concerns of youth and urged the LG to sympathetically consider granting age relaxation, keeping in view the aspirations of thousands of candidates.

“The LG gave a patient hearing to the matter. Shri Sharma expressed hope that the administration will take a positive decision to safeguard the future of deserving aspirants,” it reads.

LoP Sharma said that the LG assured the youth that he will continue to follow up the issue until a favourable outcome is achieved—(KNO)
