SHOPIAN, DECEMBER 15: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Shishir Gupta Monday chaired a comprehensive meeting to review preparations for the effective implementation of the Good Governance Week campaign “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore”, scheduled to be held from December 19 to 25, 2025.
During the meeting, The DC, as per an official statement, emphasised on the coordinated efforts of all line departments to ensure smooth implementation of the village outreach campaign with focus on citizen-centric delivery of services at the grassroots level.
Tehsildars were designated as Nodal Officers at Tehsil-level camps, while Block Development Officers (BDOs) were nominated as Nodal Officers at Panchayat-level camps for the campaign period.
The DC directed all line departments to depute their representatives to the designated village level camps and submit deputation schedules in advance.
Establishment of Registration Desks, Service Delivery Desks and the availability of a dedicated Samadhan Portal at all camps shall be ensured to facilitate prompt redressal of public grievances and delivery of public services.
Reiterating the objective of Good Governance Week, the DC stressed that the campaign aims to take governance to the doorsteps of citizens and ensure transparency, accountability and efficient public service delivery across the district.
The meeting was attended by ADDC, Dr. Nasir Ahmed Lone; ADC, Dr. Zakir Hussain Faaz; ACD, district and sectoral officers,tehsildars and BDOs.
