Family suspects foul play; police launch probe

Baramulla, Dec 19 (KNO): A man from the Rafiabad area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Pattan on Friday, prompting police to launch an investigation into the incident.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that the man, a resident of Khanmoh Rafiabad, was working at the residence of another person in Gousbug village of Pattan when his body was found under mysterious circumstances.

The deceased has been identified as Javaid Ahmed Mir, a resident of Khanmoh Rafiabad. His family members said they were informed about his death this morning and alleged foul play, demanding a thorough investigation. “The cause of death must be thoroughly investigated. We urge the authorities to ensure justice,” the family said.

Meanwhile, a police team rushed to the spot, and an investigation is underway to ascertain the exact cause of death—(KNO)
