Anti- drug awareness programme organised in Ramban

RAMBAN, DECEMBER 27: In line with the directives of District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Alyas Khan, the District Information Centre (DIC)   Saturday organised an awareness programme on drug abuse here at the DISHA Institute of Paramedical and Sciences.

The programme, as per an official statement, aimed to sensitise students about the harmful effects of drug addiction and to promote the vision of a drug-free society.

Drug Control Officer Imtiyaz Ahmed attended the programme as the Chief Guest. The students delivered impressive speeches on the subject, highlighting the serious social, physical and psychological consequences of drug abuse. A poster-making display prepared by the students was also showcased.

Addressing the gathering, the Drug Control Officer emphasized the importance of awareness, prevention and collective responsibility in combating the growing menace.

Principal DISHA Institute, Hilal Wani appreciated the Information Department for organising the informative programme and engaging students through creative and awareness-oriented activities.
