DC Ramban inspects development works, reviews KV arrangements

RAMBAN, JANUARY 01: Deputy Commissioner Ramban,  Mohammad Alyas Khan Thursday inspected ongoing developmental works and reviewed the arrangements for the commencement of the long-awaited academic activities of Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) at the proposed accommodation at Kowbag.

The Deputy Commissioner, as per an official statement, was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Varunjeet Singh Charak; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Shokat Hayat Mattoo; Tehsildar Deep Kumar and other concerned officers.

The NHAI and other executing agencies were directed to speed up the pace of work to achieve timely completion of the ongoing construction and maintenance of roads and other projects. The DC instructed the officers to clear the identified land for its utilization as a parking facility.

The Deputy Commissioner also inspected the ongoing maintenance and preparatory works at the identified accommodation for KV. He reviewed the availability and condition of classrooms, sanitation facilities, drinking water supply and overall infrastructure required for the smooth start of academic work.

Emphasizing the importance of a safe, clean and student-friendly environment, the DC directed the concerned officers to ensure proper maintenance of the premises with special focus on cleanliness and upkeep of toilets. He stressed completion of all necessary works before the start of classes.
