DC Ramban reviews development works, disaster mitigation plan

RAMBAN, JANUARY 03: Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mohammad Alyas Khan Saturday chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the progress of development works currently under implementation in District Ramban and to deliberate on the Disaster Mitigation Plan.

The Deputy Commissioner, as per an official statement, took a detailed review of physical and financial progress of works being executed under the District Capex Budget 2025–26, Constituency Development Fund, SANYJ 2025–26, Tribal Affairs, District Road Safety, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), SDRF 2025–26, APDP, ABDP, Untied Funds and SASCI Scheme.

The meeting also reviewed progress related to the revival of heritage sites, financial inclusion initiatives, Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana, PM-KISAN Scheme and SDRF.

The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer Dr. Shakeeb Ahmed Rather; Executive Engineers of PWD Ramban and Banihal, Jal Shakti, JPDCL and REW, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Education Officer, Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Executive Officer Municipal Council, Lead District Manager and other concerned officers.

The Deputy Commissioner set timelines for the completion of all development works under the District Capex Budget and other schemes. He directed the officers of executing departments to submit daily progress reports to ensure effective monitoring and timely completion of all ongoing and new projects, with a focus on achieving 100 percent physical and financial targets.

The DC specifically directed the Executive Engineers of PWD, REW, Jal Shakti and JPDCL to ensure completion of works related to Education, Health, Minor Irrigation, Water Supply Schemes, Youth Services & Sports, Urban Local Bodies and other key sectors. The CEO, CMO and other concerned officers were instructed to closely follow up on the progress of projects under their respective jurisdictions.

The Deputy Commissioner also resolved several issues on the spot that were hindering the pace of progress and issued necessary directions to the concerned officers.

Further, the Disaster Mitigation Plan was discussed in detail and directions were issued to submit the plan within the prescribed timeline, strictly adhering to the laid-down guidelines.

Officers of all departments were directed to expedite the implementation of schemes and ensure that the benefits reach the intended beneficiaries in a timely and effective manner.
