Srinagar, Jan 10: The Jammu & Kashmir National Conference  General Secretary and MLA Khanyar Ali Mohammad Sagar on Saturday called upon the divisional administration to make comprehensive and meticulous arrangements for the upcoming Shab-e-Meraj.

The religious observance, which is one of the holiest nights in the Islamic calendar, holds immense significance for Muslims, marking the miraculous night journey and ascension of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

In a statement issued on Saturday, Sagar emphasized the need for the local administration to ensure that all necessary arrangements are in place to accommodate the spiritual needs of the people during this important occasion. He highlighted the significance of providing adequate security, lighting, and sanitation services at major prayer sites, mosques, and shrines across the region. The safety and well-being of the public, particularly during the late-night hours, should be a priority, he added.

Sagar further called for the deployment of necessary medical teams and ambulances at key locations to handle any medical emergencies that may arise. He also urged the administration to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and take preventive measures to avoid any inconveniences to the devotees.

He stressed the importance of maintaining peace and harmony during this sacred occasion, urging citizens to unite in their prayers for the well-being of the people and the region.

Sagar appealed to the administration to work proactively, coordinating with relevant authorities to make the upcoming Shab e Meraj peaceful and spiritually fulfilling occasion for all.
