Approves 690 cases under JKCIP, 136 under IDDS

GANDERBAL, JANUARY 15: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore Thursday chaired a meeting of the District Level Committee to discuss and approve cases under Jammu & Kashmir Competitiveness Improvement of Agriculture and Allied Sectors Project (JKCIP) and Integrated Dairy Development scheme (IDDS)

After detailed scrutiny, the committee approved 690 cases under JKCIP pertaining to Agriculture, Horticulture, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries departments while 136 cases were approved under IDDS of the Animal Husbandry department.

On the occasion, DC directed agriculture and allied departments to focus on establishment of units under these schemes. Besides, he also directed for making improvements in L2, L3 registrations on KKGs, and processing of credit applications under HADP.

In order to achieve tangible results on the ground, DC directed officers to maintain close coordination with beneficiaries for effective monitoring and adopting an outcome based approach.

He further directed the concerned departments to take proactive measures to bridge any deficiencies and ensure early processing of applications and wider coverage under these schemes.

The meeting was attended by General Manager DIC; Assistant Commissioner Development, Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Assistant Director Fisheries, District Sheep Husbandry Officer, and other committee members.
