UDHAMPUR, JANUARY 19: To review and finalize arrangements for the celebration of the 16th National Voters’ Day 2026- themed “My India, My Vote” with the tagline “Citizen at the Heart of the Indian Democracy,” the Additional District Development Commissioner  Udhampur, Jugal Kishore Monday convened a meeting of officers from the line departments.

The meeting was attended by Deputy District Election Officer, Babu Pardeep Kumar; District Information Officer, Neeraj Bhargav; EROs, AEROs and other concerned officers. Heads of the educational institutions also participated in the meeting through virtual mode.

While rolling out the schedule of activities, the meeting was informed that  a series of awareness activities including rallies, debates, painting competitions, quizzes, slogan writing contests, webinars and the National Voters’ Day pledge would be organized, involving college and school students at the District, Sub-Division and Tehsil levels to spread awareness among voters.

Emphasizing the importance of maximum public participation, the ADDC, as per an official statement, pitched for launching an extensive awareness campaign with a special focus on new voters. He urged the officers to work with dedication, coordination and commitment to ensure a vibrant and successful celebration of National Voters’ Day.
