‘Strength of unity, spirit will make our country a developed nation by 2047’

Haridwar/ Uttarakhand, Feb 05: Asserting that today the entire world acknowledges and respects India’s soft power and its spiritual wealth, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday said that he is confident about the country attaining the status of a developed nation by 2047.

Addressing a gathering after the Idol Installation Ceremony of Swami Satyamitranand Giri Ji Maharaj at Haridwar in Devbhoomi Uttarakhand, LG Sinha, according to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) spoke on profound economic, cultural and spiritual renaissance in the country, which is igniting a vibrant new consciousness in the society.

Notably, the spiritual, cultural, and Sadguru Memorial Celebration was held under the guidance of Swami Avdheshanand Giri Ji Maharaj, Acharya Mahamandaleshwar of Juna Akhara.

“With the blessings of revered saints, people are advancing steadfastly toward the vision of building a modern, transformed India,” the Lieutenant Governor said.

He highlighted that the values envisioned by our ancestors millennia ago are now being embraced worldwide, with nations adopting the philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam-“the world is one family”-as a beacon for peace and harmony.

“Since time immemorial, our tradition has championed the welfare of all humanity. It has gifted us the expansive vision of the world as one family,” he said, adding, “Our ancient culture has never sown division; it has always championed unity, individual bliss and prosperity of all. We have redefined spirituality, welfare of all and patriotism for the world. India, the cradle of the globe’s most advanced civilization and culture will guide the enduring peace and harmony across the world.”

“Yoga and meditation have become integral to daily life in households across every corner of the globe,” he further added.

The Lieutenant Governor observed that this year’s Union Budget earmarks transformative strides for developing archaeological sites alongside monastery-temple preservation, Buddhist circuit corridors, and digital archiving of spiritual landmarks.

He said these initiatives will kindle cultural pride in the youth and weave India into a tapestry of unity. “I believe that after enduring a long journey of struggle, we have arrived at a momentous juncture where India must once again guide the world.”

“I am confident that the strength of unity and its spirit will elevate India to the status of a developed nation by 2047, enabling us to reclaim our ancient glory and rightful place in the world,” the Lieutenant Governor said.

The ceremony was also graced by Governor of Bihar, Arif Mohammed Khan; Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami; Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Dr Mohan Yadav; saints, spiritual leaders, heads of religious organisations and followers of Swami Satyamitranand Giri Ji Maharaj. (KNO)
