Minor girl killed, mother critical in Budgam motorcycle accident

Budgam, Feb 16: A 10-year-old girl lost her life while her mother sustained critical injuries after they were allegedly hit by a motorcycle at Bugam area of Chadoora in Budgam district on Monday, officials said.

An official said that the mother and daughter, residents of Kultreh, Chadoora, were struck by a motorcycle in Bugam.

He said both were immediately shifted to SDH Chadoora for treatment.

However, the girl identified as Qaira Mushtaq (10) succumbed to her injuries at the hospital, while her mother, identified as Shakeel Bano, wife of Mushtaq Ahmad Kumar, was referred to Srinagar for advanced treatment, and her condition is said to be critical, the official said.

He added that the investigation has been taken up—(KNO)
