First leg of budget session concludes

Jammu, Feb 20: The first leg of the budget session of the Jammu & Kashmir Assembly concluded on Friday, with the House scheduled to reassemble on March 27 to pass the Appropriation Bill for the 2026-27 budget.

As per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather announced that House will reassemble on March 27, when it will reconvene to pass the Appropriation Bill-a step required to formally approve the budget.

During the second leg of the session, the House will consider Appropriation Bill, Private Members Bills and Resolutions alongside other government business. (KNO)
