Avoid unnecessary delays in execution of works: MLA Bandipora

Reviews progress of works under Constituency Development Fund, stresses timely completion of all projects

BANDIPORA, MARCH 05: Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Bandipora, Nizam Ud Din Bhat Thursday reviewed the progress and status of works being executed under the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) in Assembly Constituency Bandipora during a meeting held at the Mini Secretariat Bandipora.

During the meeting, the MLA, as per an official statement, took a detailed review of the status of works, including the number of works accorded, tendered, allotted and completed by various departments.

The review covered works executed by Rural Development Department (RDD) Bandipora, Municipal Committee Bandipora, JAKEDA, Education Department, Ground Water Division Srinagar, PHE Hydraulic Division Bandipora, Electric Division Bandipora/Sumbal, REW Bandipora, R&B Division Bandipora, District Youth Services & Sports Office, Block Development Offices of Arin, Aloosa, Bandipora, Bonakoot and Naidkhai, besides G&B Hostel Bandipora.

The MLA emphasized that unnecessary delays in execution of works must be avoided and stressed the need for timely completion of all projects sanctioned under the CDF. He directed the concerned officers to ensure that the ground staff remains fully geared up to achieve maximum outcomes from the developmental works being undertaken.

Highlighting the importance of public service delivery, the MLA said that public welfare must remain the top priority while implementing development projects. He further stressed that departments must work in close coordination with each other to ensure smooth execution and effective implementation of works on the ground.

The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer Bandipora, Assistant Commissioner Development, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Executive Engineers of Ground Water Division Srinagar, PHE Hydraulic Division Bandipora, Electric Division Bandipora/Sumbal, REW Bandipora and R&B Division Bandipora,  District Youth Services and Sports Officer Bandipora, Dy Chief Education Officer Bandipora, Block Development Officers of Arin, Aloosa, Bandipora, Bonakoot and Naidkhai, besides Warden C&B Hostel Bandipora.
